Abstract
---------------------------------------- Abstract: This research has the aim of identifying the consequences of the ideology of gender for ecumenism. The approach to this topic makes it convenient to study the origin of the above mentioned ideology, its meaning and scope, as well as the factors that have contributed to its spread. In the origin of the new ideology, close to a feminist radicalization, it is possible to discover a denial of occidental roots. It affects mainly to the metaphysical Greek categories and to the Christian concepts. The first ones will be replaced by the postmodernist relativism. As for the Christian faith, the feminism of gender will reject God the Father, on the one hand, and the masculinity of Jesus Christ, on the other hand. Such beliefs are found guilty for perpetuating the patriarchal system. So, the new ideology will try to deconstruct the language used to speak about God. It will be seen in the liturgy and the translations of the Bible. Other effects of the ideology of gender are present in the ideas on the structure of the Church and with regard to the demanded access of women to the ordained priesthood. Finally, the antropologic and moral dimensions of the new ideology will shock the life of many of the Churches and Christian communities. The crisis suffered by the ecumenical institutions because of the ideological question has threatened to ruin all the work of the ecumenical movement of the 20th century. Though at present the ecumenical dialogs have recovered a peaceful environment, it is possible to state the theological impoverishment in which they have fallen down after the lived difficulties.
