Telling stories. Story and History in Arendt's Thought

Abstract

Arendt devoted most of her political writings to the relationship between life writing and constructing citizenship. In all her biographies we meet the same idea: Human Beings have a narrative identity and only when this identity can be constructed and shown in the public realm, human beings can tell their stories and act upon their history.
