El ministerio episcopal en la Communio ecclesiarum

Abstract

A lo largo de la historia la Iglesia se ha manifestado con dos dimensiones: la universal y la local. Durante el primer milenio predominó la visión de una comunión de Iglesias locales, mientras que en occidente a lo largo del segundo milenio se subrayó la Iglesia universal como un todo unitario. En este estudio, extracto de una tesis doctoral, se han recogido las enseñanzas del Concilio Vaticano II y de la teología del siglo XX que apuntan hacia una síntesis armónica de ambos enfoques. La investigación busca dicha síntesis destacando la expresión: Comunión Universal de las Iglesias. Se comienza con el sentido de los términos de Iglesia universal y de Iglesia local o particular; luego se analiza su relación de mutua inmanencia, sus fundamentos y manifestaciones; y se termina describiendo qué tipo de prioridad tiene la Iglesia universal. ------------------ Throughout the course of history the Church has manifested itself in two dimensions: universal and local. During the first millennium prevailed the vision of a community of Local Churches, while in occident along the second millennium was underlined the Universal Church as a unitary whole. In this study, a doctoral thesis abstract, have been collected the teachings of the Vatican Council II and twentieth century theology pointing to a harmonious synthesis of both approaches. The research seeks such synthesis highlighting the expression: Universal Communion of Churches. The investigation starts with the meaning of the expression of the Universal Church and the Local Church; then analyzes their relationship of mutual immanence, its foundations and manifestations; and ends by describing what kind of priority has the Universal Church
