------------------ Throughout the course of history the Church has manifested itself in two dimensions: universal and local. During the first millennium prevailed the vision of a community of Local Churches, while in occident along the second millennium was underlined the Universal Church as a unitary whole. In this study, a doctoral thesis abstract, have been collected the teachings of the Vatican Council II and twentieth century theology pointing to a harmonious synthesis of both approaches. The research seeks such synthesis highlighting the expression: Universal Communion of Churches. The investigation starts with the meaning of the expression of the Universal Church and the Local Church; then analyzes their relationship of mutual immanence, its foundations and manifestations; and ends by describing what kind of priority has the Universal Church | es_ES |
