Leiomyomas are the most common benign tumours of the oesophagus. The most frequent symptoms are dysphagia and epigastric pain, although 50% of patients remain asymptomatic and the tumour is sometimes discovered incidentally. We report a case of oesophageal leiomyoma with emphasis on the operative management by VATS. Traditionally, operative management by transthoracic enucleation is the procedure of choice. In this study we present our experience using a minimally invasive approach.es_ES
