---------------------------------------------------------------------- In Christian Africa, in the course of the 2nd and 3rd centuries, a complete theology of the unity of the Church develops, which becomes the first great attempt at self-comprehension and at specifying ecclesial identity and mission. The Church is seen as a communio rooted and founded in the same divine unity and uniqueness; work of the Holy Spirit, who creates the communion of men with the divine Persons and, as a consequence, among them, to constitute a true fraternitas united with the bond of charity. Tertullian and Cyprian of Carthage are the two highest exponents of this incipient communion ecclesiology. | es_ES |
