This article studies the agudeza in Libro de todas las cosas y otras muchas más, a satirical burlesque work by Francisco de Quevedo. The text presents itself as a parody of the miscellanies, a literary genre that became very popular from the mid 16th century onwards, and in it the author develops the satirical motifs of this period by using a great variety of procedures of agudeza. The main resources are, like in most of the titles of this author’s prose, the equívoco and the dilogy, to which the truism is added as a means of mocking the encyclopedic repertoires. | es_ES |
