Las primeras incursiones cartaginesas y romanas en el Valle Medio del Ebro

Abstract

Analizamos en este texto la naturaleza del dominio cartaginés sobre los territorios indígenas de la península ibérica, que fue mayor de lo que se venía creyendo hasta ahora y, del mismo modo, también lo fue después el dominio romano. Comenzamos por el Tratado de Asdrúbal y la llegada de los cartagineses a la margen derecha del río Ebro, revisamos la aparición de los vascones como pueblo diferenciado en las fuentes, los caminos de la conquista y la evolución del dominio de los territorios que corresponden a la actual Comunidad Foral de Navarra tanto por los Cartagineses como por los romanos.

We analyze in this text the nature of the Carthaginian domain on the indigenous territories of the Iberian peninsula that it was bigger than what was thought until now and, in the same way, it was also later the Roman domain. We begin with the treaty of Asdrubal and the arrival from the Carthaginians to the right riverbank of the river Ebro, we revise the appearance of the Vascons like different people in the sources, the conquest roads and the evolution of the Carthaginian and Roman domain of the territories of the current Comunidad Foral de Navarra.
