Iglesias y monasterios medievales en el Camino de Santiago a su paso por Navarra

Abstract

El texto presenta de manera ordenada las principales modificaciones que a lo largo de la Edad Media afectaron al paisaje monumental navarro vinculado al Camino de Santiago, concretamente en lo concerniente a la arquitectura religiosa. Como hilo conductor se ha seguido el hipotético transitar de un peregrino imaginario que recorriera cada cien años, entre el siglo X y el XV, los dos ramales principales: el que venía de Roncesvalles y el que entraba por Sangüesa. De este modo, se describen las novedades perceptibles en la arquitectura y figuración de los templos monásticos y parroquiales.

The summary shows us in an ordered fashion the main modifications that had an effect on the monumental scenery of Navarra along the route of Santiago in the Middle Ages, especially as far as religious architecture is concerned. As a connecting thread we have chosen a hypothetical pilgrim who would do the journey every 100 years, from the 10th to the 15th centuries, along the two main routes: the route via Roncesvalles and the one that entered from Sangüesa. It is in this way that the perceptible novelties of the architecture and the decoration of the Churches and monasteries are perceived.
