El sentido del caminar. Una reflexión con trasfondo religioso

Abstract

Los peregrinos del Camino de Santiago han manifestado siempre un sentido religioso de su peregrinación. Con esta idea de fondo y al hilo de las reflexiones que el caminar suscita, el trabajo repasa una serie de aspectos que tienen que ver con un sentido religioso y antropológico del caminar: el camino como metáfora de la vida; la relación entre las peregrinaciones y las culturas, especialmente la cristiana; los valores espirituales que se relacionan con esta cultura y que tienen que ver con el Camino de Santiago; la relación directa del caminar con la fe y algunas de las virtudes que es necesario desarrollar, son los temas principales de una reflexión que no es en modo alguno exhaustiva, sino más bien intuitiva y persuasiva.

The pilgrims in the Way of Saint James have always manifested a religious sense of their pilgrimage. With this idea as a background and following the feelings that the fact of walking arises, this paper refers to different aspects related with the religious and anthropological char- acteristics of the pilgrimages: going the way as a metaphor of life, the relation between pilgrimage and culture, particularly in Christianity, the spiritual values related with this culture coming up from the Way of Saint James, the straightforward relation between the Way and the faith and some of the virtues needed to be a pilgrim, are the main topics of a reflection which doesn’t mean to be exhaustive, but intuitive and persuasive.
