| es_ES |

The bond between Estella and the route of St James has developed in accordance with the following areas: the international historical context of the year 1000, the start of urban centers; the historical landmark of the first city in Navarre and the endowment of the special local juris- diction (Fuero) to the city by Sancho Ramírez, king of Pamplona and Aragon; the development of the first neighborhoods, San Martin, San Miguel and San Juan; and the demographic development of the city. The second part discusses the influence of the pilgrim road to Santiago de Compostela on the city, which is present today in the twenty representations that are still there on churches, convents and elsewhere in Estella. | es_ES |
