1903‐1925: El arte y la magia. El complejo diálogo entre Prehistoria, Historia del Arte y Etnografía en el contexto de los inicios del siglo XX

Abstract

En este artículo se reflexiona sobre la conformación entre 1903 y 1925 de la tesis del arte mágico, en el marco de la definición de la ciencia prehistórica moderna. Se valora la incidencia del contexto sociopolítico, cultural, y religioso. Se analiza el trasvase teórico y metodológico desde la Etnografía, y la Historia del Arte, y la relación con las artes plásticas contemporáneas.

In this article reflects on the conformation, between 1903 and 1925, of the thesis of the magic art, within the framework of the definition of modern prehistoric science. The incidence of the socio‐political, cultural, and religious context is valued. It analyzes the theoretical and methodological influence from Ethnography, and the History of Art, and the relationship with the contemporary visual arts.
