La undécima epístola de López Pinciano y la libertad creadora de Pérez de Montalbán

Abstract

Se analiza la carta oncena de la Philosophía Antigua Poética del humanista López Pinciano. En ella el autor expone la preceptiva sobre la épica y bajo su epígrafe incluye la novela. Se hace mención a Pérez de Montalván, el primero que llevo el asunto de las Etiópicas al teatro en una comedia, titulada Teágenes y Clariquea, en la que tiene en cuenta los consejos de López Pinciano. The eleventh letter of the humanist López Pinciano’s Philosophía Antigua Poética is analyzed. In it, the author presents the literary canons about epic and under its epigraph includes the novel. Pérez de Montalván, the first one in taking the theme of the Etiópicas to theatre in a comedy entitled Teágenes y Clariquea, in which he takes into account López Pinciano’s counsels, is also mentioned.
