Noticias medioambientales en prensa regional: estudio de la evolución de temáticas, enfoques y fuentes

Abstract

The first purpose of this paper is analyzing issues, priority focus and sources of reference in environmental news published in regional newspapers Diario de Navarra and Diario de Noticias. The second purpose is studying the evolution of these three elements, possible trends and factors that can affect it. The news were registered by the Centro de Recursos Ambientales de Navarra (CRANA). The period of analysis is January 1, 2004 to December 31, 2012 and the sample is configured by 2,125 news. The information from the quantitative content analysis is complemented by in depth interviews to people in charge of the CRANA and a qualitative analysis of the content of part of the sample.

El primer objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las temáticas, los enfoques dados y las fuentes utilizadas en las noticias sobre medio ambiente publicadas en los diarios regionales Diario de Navarra y Diario de Noticias. Como segundo objetivo, se analizará la evolución de estos aspectos a lo largo del periodo de estudio para dilucidar posibles tendencias y factores que han influido en ella. Este trabajo toma como base el registro de noticias del Centro de Recursos Ambientales de Navarra (CRANA) entre el 1 de enero de 2004 y el 31 de diciembre de 2012, realizando un análisis de contenido cuantitativo a una muestra de 2.125 noticias. Esta información se complementa con entrevistas en profundidad a responsables del CRANA y un análisis cualitativo de contenido a parte de la muestra.
