Mira de Amescua’s play La confusión de Hungría attempts to analyze the meaning of the word confusión (confusión) in the dramatic context of the XVIIth century. This is not only a word but the gist of the comedy. We work on the assumption that the concept is not Miras’s creation but an inherent notion in the baroque cosmovisión. Apart from that, all this is explained not only from the artistic standpoint but also from the ideological, philosophycal and scientific point of view, as we can see in the analysis of three aspects of the play: plot, characters and language. | es_ES |
