La imagen de Dios en el hombre. Consideraciones en torno a la cuestión en W. Pannenberg

Abstract

El hilo conductor es la relación intrínseca entre imagen y destino para W. Pannenberg, cuya consecuencia fundamental consiste, según la autora del artículo, en la concepción de persona humana como esse ad Deum, un ser en cuyo origen se halla inscrita también su finalidad. El hombre ha recibido un don al ser imago Dei, y eso le da un valor inestimable; pero también existe en su estructura una «disposición» para el desarrollo de ese don. El teólogo contemporáneo W. Pannenberg intenta mostrar que el destino del hombre ha hallado cumplimiento por anticipado en la encarnación de Dios en Jesucristo, y ello constituye la clave para interpretar dinámicamente la imagen de Dios en el hombre.

The leit motiv of this article is the intrinsic relation between image and destination according to W. Pannenberg, whose essential consequence consists, as the author states in her article, in the conception of the human person as esse-ad-Deum, a being in whose origin is registered also its purpose. Man has received a gift to be imago Dei, and that gift is invaluable; but there is also in its structure a «disposition» for the development of that gift. The contemporary theologian W. Pannenberg tries to demonstrate that man’s destiny has found its compliance in advance with God’s incarnation in Jesus Christ, and this is the key to interpret dynamically the divine image of man.
