Lugares en tránsito; entre el registro y la reinvención

Abstract

Esta comunicación pretende especular acerca de los lindes que determinan y distinguen la documentación y la creación en la fotografía de arquitectura. Si desde su presentación en 1839 se discutió respecto a su pertenencia al campo de las ciencias o de las artes, las infinitas derivaciones que implica y promueve la naturaleza técnica de la imagen fotográfica, han sido la principal materia prima para construir, a lo largo de casi dos siglos, gran parte de su discurso teórico. Tomando como punto de partida una reflexión acerca de la esencia técnica de la fotografía y de la relación que el fotógrafo establece con ella, se tratará de exponer la estrategias discursiva desarrollada por el autor en uno de sus proyectos de documentación y de creación vinculado a la arquitectura y al territorio.

This communication aims to speculate about the boundaries that determine and differ the documentation and creation in architectural photography. If since its introduction in 1839, was discussed their belong to science or arts field, the infinite derivations that involved and promotes the technical nature of photographic image, have been the main raw material to build, along almost two centuries, much of its theoretical discourse. Taking as a starting point a reflection on the technical essence of photography and the relationship that the photographer establishes with it, we will try to expose the discursive strategies developed by the author in one of his documentation and creation projects linked to architecture and territory.
