Abstract

In Eriugena’s system, it is the epistemology that defines the perspectives for the metaphysics of the system. The author will try to provide a justification for this statement in analysing the fundamental assumptions of Eriugena’s Periphyseon and the way he applies the to his hexaemeral exegesis.
