Abstract
Aristotle’s influence in the young Heidegger has been confirmed by the publication of his unedited works. This article questions Heidegger’s late allegation of having received that influence through reading Brentano’s “On the manifold sense of Being in Aristotle”. This study analyses the different steps of Heidegger’s thesis on truth until Sein und Zeit and compares them to those of Brentano, such as judgment being the proper place of truth and the difference between judgment and representation.
