Entre 1898 y 1998: la historiografía de la literatura española

Abstract

El artículo se refiere a la construcción de la idea de "literatura española" en el siglo XIX y su fijación canónica en los manuales y textos de estudio. Esto implicó una discusión respecto a la nacionalidad y la lengua, una tensión entre "literatura nacional" y "literatura castellana". El autor revisa la apertura del margen en lo que se entiende por literatura española durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX y la inclusión de perspectivas regionalistas, autores relegados y criterios feministas y sociales. Se mencionan los últimos estudios de la historiografía, que consideran intercambios con otras lenguas y resaltan el contexto europeo de la producción literaria española. The article refers to the idea of a construction of the idea of a "Spanish literature" in the 19th century and its canonical fixation on the manuals and texts of study. This idea implied a discussion with regards to nationality and language, a tension between "national literature" and "Castillian literature". The author revises the notion of the opening of the margin which is understood through Spanish literature during the second half of the 20th century and the inclusion of regional perspectives, relegated authors, and feminist and social criteria. The latest studies of historiography are mentioned which consider exchanges with other languages and which highlight the European context of the Spanish literary production.
