La creación como arte de la Trinidad en san Buenaventura

Abstract

San Buenaventura concibe la creación divina en analogía con el arte, y a la vez considera que el artista creador es Dios Trino. En su pensamiento se encuentra un cauce para explicar la relación entre ambas afirmaciones a través de las apropiaciones trinitarias, que permiten contemplar la estructura operativa característica del arte (donde se articulan inseparablemente potencia, inteligencia y voluntad) en la comunión trinitaria de la acción creadora.

St. Bonaventure conceives the divine creation through the analogy of artistic action and he thinks the creator-Artificer is the Triune God. Therefore, we can contemplate the structure of artistic production in the trinitarian communion of God’s creative action. In Bonaventure’s thought, this is made possible through the doctrine of appropriation: power, wisdom, and benevolence are inseparably articulated in the divine work.
