Coaching familiar vs. orientación familiar. Aportes del coaching a la familia y cómo utilizar sus herramientas en la orientación familiar

Abstract

Esta investigación presenta un análisis del coaching en su definición, origen, principios y elementos, llevados al servicio y atención a la familia. El coaching familiar es una disciplina con pocos años de desarrollo y por ende poco estudiada, pero con muchas perspectivas de crecimiento. Por lo que se confronta su aplicación con la Orientación familiar y otras disciplinas, donde además de poder lograr cierta aportación, se encuentra en la aplicación de sus herramientas de acompañamiento, muy cercana a la orientación familiar, lo que hace que ambas puedan enriquecer sus oportunidades de apertura a nuevos métodos de ayuda. Teniendo en cuenta que esto representa un reto, más beneficioso para la orientación, debido a la delimitación del coaching en sus competencias. Pero tanto el orientador como el coach requieren la debida profesionalización y actualización de sus recursos, en conjunto con las bases necesarias en las ciencias de la familia. Así ambos impulsarán eficazmente al desarrollo del potencial de las familias, en el logro de objetivos que optimicen sus relaciones dentro de su contexto ordinario y las de cada uno de sus miembros con el entorno social en que se encuentran.

This inverstigation presents an analysis of coaching in its definition, origin, principles and elements, taken to the service and attention to the family. Family coaching is a discipline with few years of development and therefore little studied, but with many perspectives of growth, so its application is confronted with family guidance and other disciplines, where besides being able to achieve a certain contribution is found in the application of their accompanying tools, very close to family orientation, which makes both can enrich their opportunities to open up to new methods of help, bearing in mind that this represents a more beneficial challenge for orientation, due to the delimitation of the coaching in their competitions. But both the counselor and the coach require the proper professionalization and updating of their resources, together with the necessary foundations in the family sciences. Thus both will effectively promote the development of the families' potential, in the achievement of objectives that optimize their relations within their ordinary context and those of each of their members with the social environment in which they find themselves.
