Conocer a Dios en su Imagen. Una lectura de Henri de Lubac

Abstract

Henri de Lubac (1896-1991) is the author of one of the most original theological contributions of the twentieth century. This paper offers an approach to two of his main works: <i>The Drama of Atheist Humanism</i> and <i>The Discovery of God</i>. The first exposes the modern thought «tragic misunderstanding» that has led to the conception of God as man’s enemy. To debunk this misunderstanding, De Lubac proposes to recover the theology of the human being as an «image of God». <i>The Discovery of God</i> puts forward an original approach to this concept, which we try to make relevant to the modern-day reader. Finally, we inquire about the place occupied by Jesus Christ in our knowledge of God.

Henri de Lubac (1896-1991) es autor de una de las contribuciones teológicas más originales del siglo XX. Aquí proponemos una lectura de dos de sus obras principales: <i>El Drama del Humanismo ateo</i> y <i>Sobre los caminos de Dios</i>. La primera expone el «trágico malentendido» del pensamiento de la modernidad que ha llevado a concebir a Dios como antagonista del hombre. Para deshacer el equívoco, De Lubac propone recuperar la teología del ser humano como «imagen de Dios». <i>Sobre los caminos de Dios</i> ofrece un original acercamiento a este concepto, que tratamos de actualizar aquí. Por último, nos preguntamos qué lugar ocupa Jesucristo en nuestro conocimiento de Dios.
