Abstract
The use of mummy meat as a therapeutic product was common in the Golden Age. Quevedo shows in his burlesque satirical poems that he knew it well, which allows us to properly interpret several dark passages of his poetry, some of them directed against his greatest adversary, Luis de Góngora.
El uso de la carne momia como producto terapéutico era habitual en los Siglos de Oro. Quevedo demuestra en sus poemas satírico burlescos que lo conocía bien, lo cual nos permite interpretar adecuadamente varios pasajes oscuros de su poesía, algunos de ellos dirigidos contra su mayor adversario, Luis de Góngora.
