Abstract

This article analyzes Jürgen Habermas’ interpretation and criticism of Carl Schmitt’s juridical-political thinking. It will be done through the critical analysis of three dimensions: The concept of politics, Theory of the Constitution and Political Theology. This study concludes that Habermas is not only a critic of Schmitt but also one of his most essential interpreters in Europe.

En este artículo se analiza la interpretación y crítica de Jürgen Habermas al pensamiento jurídico-político de Carl Schmitt. Esto se hará a través del análisis crítico de tres dimensiones: El concepto de lo político, la Teoría de la Constitución y la Teología política. Este análisis concluye que Habermas no es solo un crítico de Schmitt, sino, además, uno de sus más importantes intérpretes en Europa.
