Narciso en la encrucijada. La autorreferencialidad como destino

Abstract

El mito de Narciso puede servir como sugerente metáfora para plan- tear algunas cuestiones antropológicas y gnoseológicas fundamentales, sobre todo en lo que hace referencia a la peculiar relación del hombre consigo mismo. To- mando pie de esta historia se plantea aquí la tesis de que la autorreferencialidad es el destino inevitable del ser humano. Pero hay diversos modos de entender la autorreferencialidad, no hay que entenderla necesariamente como una estructura que aboque a un solipsismo inmanente insuperable. Tomando a Inciarte como trasfondo de estas reflexiones, se analiza esta problemática en los casos de Eugen Fink y Michel Foucault para mostrar esta diversidad de vías interpretativas.

The myth of Narcissus can be used as a suggestive metaphor to pose some important anthropological and gnosiological questions, specially about the relationship of the human to himself. The story helps defend the thesis that self- referentiality is the unavoidable destiny of human being. But there are different ways to understand self-referentiality. The concept must not necessarily be un- derstood as a structure that produces an insuperable immanent solipsism. Taking the thought of Inciarte as the background of these reflections, the problem will be analyzed in the cases of Eugen Fink and Michel Foucault in order to show the diversity of interpretative ways.
