El "curriculum vitae" del Pícaro

Abstract

Este trabajo de 1966, fundamental en su momento para la bibliografía de la novela picaresca, acertó a estructurar los rasgos principales de los pícaros en torno a una docena de nociones que van desde la casualidad, el hambre o el ingenio hasta la obediencia, el oficio, el vagabundeo o la voluntad. Sus fuentes fueron el Lazarillo, Guzmán y El Buscón. This 1966 article was crucial in the studies of the Spanish picaresque novel, since it provided a thorough picture of the main traits of the “pícaros”, deriving from concepts that include hance, hunger, wit, obedience, trade, the wandering life or willpower. The sources studied were Lazarillo, Guzmán and Buscón.
