Una aventura empresarial en un proyecto integral Mobiliario del Edificio Capitol, Luis M. Feduchi, 1931-33

Abstract

En 1933 fue inaugurado el edificio Capitol, obra de los arquitectos Vicente Eced y Luis M. Feduchi. El proyecto contenía un complejo programa para el cual Feduchi diseñó un mobiliario de gran diversidad estilística que se adaptaba a las necesidades funcionales de cada estancia. Aquella convivencia de estilos y vanguardias que presentaba el mobiliario repercutió de manera directa en la elección de las empresas que participaron en su construcción: Rolaco-Mac, Lledó, Santamaría y Crowner. La presente investigación ofrece, a través del análisis de los muebles diseñados por el arquitecto y su relación con las distintas firmas, la verdadera dimensión que adquirió la obra del edificio Capitol, hasta el punto de convertirse en una auténtica aventura empresarial en un proyecto integral.

In 1933 the Capitol building, designed by the architects Luis M. Vicente Eced and Feduchi, was inaugurated. The project contained a complex program for which Feduchi designed furniture, with a stylistic diversity, adapted to the functional needs of each room. That combination of styles had reverberated directly in the choice of the companies involved in its construction: Rolaco-Mac, Lledo, Santamaria and Crowner. This research provides, through the analysis of furniture designed by Feduchi and his relationship with the different companies, the real dimension that acquired the work of the Capitol building to the point of becoming an authentic business adventure in a comprehensive project.
