- Atributos e descritores propostos para a arte rupestre da Idade do Ferro no Vale do Côa(Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Navarra, 2022) Silva, J.P. (José Paulo); Botica, N. (Natália); Luís, L. (Luís)The Côa Valley was inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1998 and is considered «the most impor tant open-air rock ar t site of the Paleolithic». The study of the rock art of the Côa Valley revealed that its chronology goes from the Upper Paleolithic to the 20th century. The present work was developed within the RARAA project, funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) «COA / OVD / 0097 / 2019- Rock Art Open Access Repository», with the aim of studying the Iron Age rock art in the Côa Valley and sharing in open access both the data structure, as well as the project data and metadata, images, 3D models, descriptors and vocabularies. With the publication of the registration methodology and the descriptors used, we seek to contribute to improve the use and reuse of data, as well as the development of Linked Open Data, so that it can be localizable and accessible, using FAIR principles (Hollander et al., 2018), and enhancing the interoperability with national and international platforms.

(Ángela); Sánchez-Hidalgo, E. (Estefanía); Carrera-Ramírez, F. (Fernando); Menéndez-Granda, A. (Alfonso); Rodríguez-del-Cueto, F. (Fernando)The aim of this paper is to describe a group of engravings and paintings discovered in a rocky outcrop of eastern Asturias. This first analysis of the panel allowed us to know the main features of the art motifs that, nowadays, don’t have an absolute dating associated. Apart from the analysis of the rock art the text addresses the prehistoric context, as well as the landscape in the surroundings of the rock. These are key data for a comprehensive view of the site, as well as for understanding the long roots of the prehistoric communities in this space.
- La producción artesanal dentro del urbanismo de las «civitates» del Ebro Medio(Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Navarra, 2022) Calonge-Domínguez, M. (María)The middle valley of the Ebro was configured in Roman times as a dynamic area that had land and river connections. A conglomerate of cities was developed where the small ones predominated, together with cases such as those of Pompaelo (Pamplona, Navarra) and Caesaraugusta (Zaragoza, Aragón) that had a larger size. Thanks to the progress of research in urban entities, it is possible to locate the place where the productive zones and artisanal districts were built, integrated or not in their urban planning. The main objective is to analyze these productive demarcations in their relationship with the rest of the city and the communication infrastructures as well as their development.

C.(Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Navarra, 2021) Gómara-Miramón, M. (Marta); Bonilla-Santander, O. (Óscar); Rojas-Pascual, E. It is focused on the model of territorial organization from the Second Iron Age to the 3rd century CE. Methodology is focused on the review of archaeological and historical data that lets us build a diachronic discourse about the evolution of its settlement and the economic exploitation of the territory. This study allows the statement of the transformation of this territory in a framework of change and conflict that configures three different landscapes: one sparsely populated and atomized in small for ts in the II Iron Age; the second, in the Roman Republican period, categorized by the existence of small settlements and two oppida, Kaiskata and Turiazu, that hierarchized and gathered most of the population; and a third one, during the time of the densely populated Principality, organized around the municipalities of Cascantum and Turiaso.
