- "Incerta omnia, sola mors certa". Muerte, sepultura y templo(Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Navarra, 2019) García-Sánchez, R. (Rafael)This text will highlight the human specificity of burials and their religious and cultural institutionalization. This symbolic singularity, accredited since ancient times in the homo species, involves an awareness of death and the post mortem life that will cross all cultural eras of humanity. Where human makes presence, respect for the dead in their graves also appears. It will also reveal continuity between the notion of grave and the temple, where both spaces are considered sacred and religious venues.

- Newman’s Influence on Vatican II’s Constitution "Dei Verbum"(Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Navarra, 2019) Vélez-Giraldo, J.R. (Juan Rodrigo)Throughout his life John Henry Newman reflected on the nature of Revelation and biblical inspiration, and the role of Tradition in the composition and interpretation of the Scriptures. In this article we point to the indirect influence that Newman had on the theology that was at work in the composition of the Vatican II Constitution on Divine Revelation Dei Verbum. And we look at the direct influence that he may have had on theologians who were involved in the preparation of the various drafts of the conciliar text, in particular Yves-Marie Congar.

- Conciencia y conversión en John Henry Newman(Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Navarra, 2019) Alonso-García, J. (Juan)The article analyzes how the notions of conversion and conscience are intrinsically related in the life and thought of John Henry Newman. First, it describes four fundamental experiences of conversion that took place on his path to the Catholic Church. Examination of these experiences shows how commitment to truth and fidelity to conscience guided him in his life and led him to Rome. In a second moment, some essential features of the dynamics of Christian conversion are outlined.
- La parábola de los viñadores homicidas en Tomás: ¿Más cercana al Jesús histórico que la de Marcos?(Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Navarra, 2019) Angulo-Ordorika, I. (Ianire)The relevance of the Gospel of Thomas is a question that also affects Christology. The question about its independent character remains unresolved, and the Parable of the Wicked Tenants has been frequently used to defend one or the other position. The paper presents this apocryphal writing and exposes a panoramic view of the discussion concerning its relationship with the synoptic gospels. By examining comparatively the versions of the parable in Mark and in Thomas, I point out the characteristic elements of the apocryphal version and assess whether these differences allow us to affirm that it is effectively closer to the historical Jesus.
