- Epigrafía litúrgica hispana: oraciones medievales escritas en libros de piedra(Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Navarra, 2019) Gómez-Jiménez, S. (Silvia)Epigraphy is a reliable sample of the culture which it belongs to, because it allows us to study the social relations between the conserved text and the epoch which it is inser ted in. The two Hispanic inscriptions that we are going to analyze are dated in the period of the Late Middle Ages, in a purely Christian context. They recognize prayers that are significant in relation to the situation which they are located in, the Lisbon Cathedral, as they are used regularly within the Hispanic monastic office, also taking into account the peculiarity that its stone support simulates a prayer book. Until now, both inscriptions have been studied from the epigraphic point of view, but in no case has its liturgical character been analyzed. This is the work that is carried out: after making an epigraphic comment, we will focus on the study of them in relation to the place where they are located and the analysis of their liturgical text with its handwritten diffusion and its use within the ecclesiastical rite.
