En 1634 Quevedo publica la traducción al español de Introduction à la vie dévote de Francisco de Sales. El lugar que ocupa esta traducción en la obra del escritor español está aún por determinar, independientemente del hecho de que Quevedo sea el traductor o se haya limitado a copiar la anterior de Eyzaguirre (1618). Quevedo conoció la obra del santo francés, y esto se demuestra con los tres libros de Francisco de Sales que conservan firmas o anotaciones de Quevedo. Además de añadir títulos pertenecientes a la biblioteca quevediana; en estas páginas se presentan firmas y notas autógrafas desconocidas hasta ahora. In 1634, Quevedo publishes the translation to Spanish of Introduction à la vie dévote by Francis of Sales. The place that this translation takes in the Spanish writer’s work is still to determine because there are different critical opinions that assure that Quevedo is the translator or he has only copied the previous work by Eyzaguirre (1618). Quevedo knew the French saint’s work, and this is proved with three books by Francis of Sales that conserve signatures or annotation of Quevedo. Also, unknown signatures and autographed notes are shown in this article.
