El artículo expone los diez mandamientos tal como son presentados en los catecismos de Lutero. El Decálogo tendrá una validez universal y un carácter universalmente vinculante, al estar vinculado de modo directo a la razón y a la conciencia. Éste se identifica por tanto con la ley natural. La debida relación con Dios hará derivar un buen cumplimiento de los restantes mandamientos. De aquí se desprenderá una adecuada relación con uno mismo, con los demás y con el mundo.

This article shows the Ten Commandments as they are presented in Luther’s catechism. The Decalogue has universal validity and a character that is universally binding, because it is directly bound up with reason and conscience. It is identified with natural law. The proper relationship with God implies that the other commandments must be kept. This leads to an adequate relationship with oneself, with others and with the rest of the world.
