Actualmente se prepara la tercera reforma de la curia romana posterior al Concilio Vaticano II. La ley que regula la curia, la const. Pastor Bonus, ha sido ya reformada en diversas ocasiones y el papa Francisco no sólo ha previsto una nueva legislación, sino que ha expresado también algunos criterios básicos. La reforma afectará a la organización de los dicasterios y, sobre todo, a los métodos de trabajo y la participación de diversas personas. Al mismo tiempo, hay importantes cuestiones implicadas aquí, como son la relación de los obispos diocesanos con la curia, la posición de los obispos titulares y un mayor reconocimiento de la participación de fieles laicos en los dicasterios.

The third reform of the post-Vatican II Roman Curia is currently underway. Pastor Bonus, the law governing the Curia, has already been amended several times and Pope Francis has not only proposed new legislation, but has also set out some basic criteria. The reform is to affect the organization of Dicasteries and, above all, working methods and the participation of various people.
