Abstract
Quevedo was criticised during all his life, due to his attitude towards the genres he wrote. Theologians blamed him for not being one; philologist claimed he did not know about; political essayists critisised that he acted in his own interest. Quevedo often kept an aggressive attitude towards people who attacked him and the issues he dealt with. It's also common his use of an admonitory tone, changing a demostrative genre into a deliberative one. Trully, this is often a common attitude in many authors, becoming an essential practice in Quevedo. Francisco de Quevedo will allways write in his own interest.
