La relativización del valor de la vida humana a nivel social se produce por una serie de fe- nómenos culturales que están relacionados con la crisis moral. Esta afecta profundamente al modo como el hombre valora su propia existencia y la de los demás. La Iglesia, para responder a este desafío, no solo ha de juzgar la situación sino que debe ser también fermento de una nueva sociedad.

The relativization of the value of human life, from a social point of view, is caused by different cultural phenomena related to moral crisis. Such crisis has a profound influence on the way individuals value their own existence and that of others. In order to meet this challenge, the Church not only has to judge the situation but should also be a ferment of a new society.
