El final del terrorismo de ETA ha dejado abiertas cuestiones como las del relato sobre lo ocurrido, la memoria y la prevención de la radicalización. La narrativa de ficción no se ha mantenido ajena y en ese contexto se han publicado las novelas de la escritora donostiarra Luisa Etxenike El ángulo ciego, Absoluta presencia y Aves del paraíso. El análisis de las tres obras confirma que la literatura de Etxenike está imbricada con la realidad y el debate social actual en torno al terrorismo, un marco en el que la autora otorga una importancia mayúscula a la cuestión de la transmisión intergeneracional. Asimismo, en los tres casos se aprecia que tanto la historia como el modo de contarla, los rasgos formales y estilísticos, apuntan en una misma dirección y contribuyen a lanzar un mensaje contra el terror y el silencio. Todo ello permite hablar de literatura éticamente y estéticamente comprometida.

The end of ETA terrorism has left open questions such as the story and memory of what happened, and the prevention of radicalisation. Fictional literature has not ignored these debates and it is in this context that the novels about ETA by the San Sebastian writer Luisa Etxenike were published: El ángulo ciego, Absoluta presencia and Aves del paraíso. The analysis of the three novels confirms that Etxenike's literature is interwoven with reality and the current social debate on terrorism, a framework in which the author accords great importance to the issue of intergenerational transmission. Moreover, in all three cases both the story and the way it is told, its formal and stylistic features, point in the same direction and contribute to sending a message against terror and silence. All this allows us to speak of ethically and aesthetically committed literature.
