El artículo intenta dar una explicación del tratamiento despectivo que Aristóteles da a la niñez. Comienza recordando que la oikonomia de Aristóteles se ocupa principalmente de "la perfección moral e intelectual de los miembros de la casa, no de su adquirir y gastar". Murphy señala que Aristóteles confiere al padre, dada su madurez, no sólo una primacía en su autoridad sino una tiranía sobre los niños (y también sobre los ancianos).-----The paper focuses on giving an explanation to Aristotle’s dismissal treatment of childhood. The paper begins recalling us that Aristotle's oikonomia is mainly about "the moral and intellectual perfection of the members of the household, not about getting and spending". It notes that Aristotle confers to the father, living his prime of life, not only a primacy but also a tyrannic authority over the children (and also over the elderly).
