La identidad genérica del Buscón: notas sobre la trayectoria de su recepción

Abstract

En este ensayo se desarrollan algunas reflexiones sobre la cuestión tan debatida del género del Buscón, cuestión tratada en varias ediciones y estudios en los que se hace evidente el diálogo inevitable de ecdótica y hermenéutica. No fue propósito de este ensayo el reseñar todas las ediciones críticas o escolares aparecidas en las últimas décadas. Se han escogido sólo aquellas que directa o indirectamente, revelan la interdependencia de teoría y crítica literarias, tal como se manifiesta en las cambiantes interpretaciones de esta autobiografía ficticia atribuida por Quevedo a un pícaro imaginario, Pablos de Segovia. This essay develops some thoughts about the much discussed issue of the genre of Buscón, as treated in several editions and studies, that show the necessary dialogue of ecdotics and hermeneutics. The purpose of the essay was not to review all critical or scholarly editions published during the last decades. Only the ones that were chosen that reveal, directly or indirectly, the interdependence of literary theory and criticism, as it manifests itself in the changing interpretations of Quevedo’s fictional autobiography attributed by its author to an imaginary rogue, Pablos of Segovia.
