Retratos pictóricos de mujer en la poesía de Quevedo

Abstract

El retrato femenino en Quevedo tiene una proyección poética que se fundamenta en los cánones clásicos de la pintura de la época. En este sentido hay que afirmar que el poeta se inspira en la pintura desde el lado esencialmente idealista sin olvidar la función caricaturesca, el otro lado del retrato en la poesía satírico-burlesca. Dentro de estas dos vertientes es asombroso constatar la variedad de retratos femeninos que se encuentran en su poesía y cuya clasificación coincide con las representaciones artísticas de la mujer. Feminine portrait in the scope of Quevedo’s poetic influence is based on classical pictorial canons of his times. In this sense, it is necessary to assert that the poet inspires himself in painting from an essentially idealistic point of view, not leaving aside the ridiculous function, the other side of the portrait in satirical-burlesque poetry. Within these two branches it is amazing to observe the variety of feminine portraits in his poetry and the fact that their classification coincides with the different artistic representations of women.
