Zercon parivus sp. n., una nueva especie de Acari (Mesostigmata: Zerconidae)

Abstract

Se describe Zercon parivus sp. n., encontrada en la hojarasca y mantillo de robledales, hayedos, alerces y maquia en Navarra (Norte de Espana). Dicha especie muestra los siguientes caracteres: setas JJ -lx, Z1, Z2 y 51 no alcanzan la inserción de las setas siguientes; seta Z3 dos veces la longitud de Z2; Z4 alcanza la inserción de 54; 14 alcanza el margen anterior de los escleronódulos internos; glándula Po2 (gdZ1) lateral a la linea Z1-Z2; glándula Po3 (gdJ3) lateral a la linea Z3-Z4; 16, Z4 y 55 son las setas más largas del opistonoto; escleronódulos opistonotales agrupados (la distancia entre los intern os es aproximadamente igual al diámetro de uno de ellos). Se ilustra la ontogenia de la quetotaxia, adenotaxia y poroidotaxia del idiosoma.

A new species, Zercon parivus n. sp., from Navarra (Northern Spain) is described. This species has been found in litter and humus from different deciduous forests (beech, oak and lark-tree) and busch grove. This specie is easy to recognize because of the following characters: setae JJ -lx, Z1, Z2 and 51 do not reach the insertion of the succeeding seta; setae Z3 twice the length of Z2; Z4 reach the insertion of 54; 14 reach the anterior margin of the inner pits; gland Po2 (gdZ1) lateral to the line Z1-Z2; gland Po3 (gdJ3) lateral to the line Z3-Z4; 16, Z4 and 55 are the longest opisthonotal setae; posterior pits associated in two groups including one inner and one lateral pit (distance between inner pits aproximately equal to the diameter of the pits). Dorsal and ventral chaetotaxy, adenotaxy and poroidotaxy for the larva, protonymph and adult is also described and illustrated.
