The sonnet «¿No ves a Behemoth, cuyas costillas» is an excellent example of how the poet rewrites a biblical source and makes a text which is considerably longer and accordingly more appropriate to a new verse form. Doing so, he uses well-known rhetorical techniques such as abreviatio, but at the same time, he keeps those elements that were already in the original, such as the evidentia. Moreover, he remodels new figures for his own literary purposes which situate the reader at a distance from the final result of the biblical model. | es_ES |
