Vuestra merced y sus alomorfos en el teatro de Calderón

Abstract

Se trata de estudiar el sistema de tratamiento y fórmulas de cortesía en el sistema de tratamiento de la sociedad española del XVII. El análisis de los alomorfos de “vuestra merced” en todos sus pequeños detalles puede revelar el valor sintomático de estos rasgos lingüísticos de los que depende a veces el sentido de una escena. The object of the article is to study the system of treatment and the courtesy formulas in the 17th century Spanish society’s system of treatment. The analysis of the allomorphs of “vuestra merced” (your mercy) in all its little details can reveal the symptomatic value of this linguistic aspects from which the sense of a scene depends many times.
