Abstract
This is the study of coldness in three tragic stories of the pastoral genre. The first is about Filomeno the shepherd, a prototype of the suffering lover; The second is about Gelasia the shepherdess, a character with mytological roots, who defends herself against hounding love. And last, but not the least, there is Marcela, from Don Quixote de la mancha. In this third story, love reciprocity is being questioned. All these shade picture the act of writing; which is no other but múltiple literary outcomings from one and only story.
