Eso no mató aquello: fotografía y arquitectura moderna brasileña

Abstract

Desde la lectura de Shakespeare hecha por Marshall McLuhan, la comunicación problematiza la originalidad y la veracidad de la afirmación de Victor Hugo, observando la alianza de la arquitectura del Renacimiento con el grabado y su posterior ampliación en una alianza con la imagen fotográfica impresa. Las características de la interacción entre arquitectura y fotografía se examinan con particular atención para la obra de Marcel Gautherot (1910-1996) sobre la arquitectura moderna brasileña y la revisita contemporánea de la misma arquitectura hecha por Leonardo Finotti (1977-xxxx).

Taking Marshall McLuhan’s reading of Shakespeare as its starting point, this communication problematizes the originality and veracity of Victor Hugo’s statement by observing the alliance of Renaissance architecture with the engraving and its posterior expansion into an alliance with the printed photographic image. The characteristics of the interaction between architecture and photography are examined with particular attention to the work of Marcel Gautherot (1910-1996) about modern Brazilian photography and the contemporary revisiting of that same architecture by Leonardo Finotti (1977-xxxx).
