Narrar el tiempo hacia la muerte: Análisis fílmico de Gritos y susurros (Viskningar och rop, Ingmar Bergman, 1972)

Abstract

Nuestro trabajo propone un análisis fílmico de la película Gritos y susurros (Viskningar och rop, Ingmar Bergman, 1972). Se desarrolla siguiendo una metodología híbrida: en primer lugar, generamos una clasificación narratológica siguiendo los clásicos sistemas categoriales de, entre otros, Gaudreault, Jost y Gómez Tarín. En segundo lugar, encararemos un microanálisis interpretativo que nos permita destacar los principales rasgos estéticos de la película. La estructura de nuestra reflexión estará compuesta por: un breve resumen de la bibliografía existente, la explicación de la metodología usada, el análisis concreto narratológico de la cinta seguido de la consiguiente interpretación y, finalmente, las perceptivas conclusiones. Al mismo tiempo, el análisis narratológico se dividirá en los siguientes aspectos: el sistema de narradores múltiples, las estrategias fílmicas que configuran el punto de vista y la focalización, y para terminar, los aspectos cronológicos y espaciales de la cinta. A su vez, la interpretación conectará diferentes rasgos temáticos y de estilo –especialmente frente a El séptimo sello (Det sjunde inseglet, 1957)-, mostrando las características concretas de la evolución del estilo de Bergman.

The research is focused on the movie Cries and whispers (Viskningar och rop, Ingmar Bergman, 1972). Is developed following a hybrid methodology: in the first place, we will develop a narratological classification following the classical categories of, among others, Gaudreault, Jost and Gómez Tarín. In the second place, we will face a concrete textual and interpretative microanalysis of some major aesthetical aspects of the movie. The structure of the article will be composed by: a brief review of the previous bibliography, the methodological explanation, the concrete narrative analysis of the movie followed by the appropriate interpretation, and finally, the conclusions. At the same time, the narrative analysis will be focused on the next topics: the different narrators, the filmic strategies connected with the categories point-of-view and focalization, and the concrete spatial and temporal coordinates of the movie. The interpretation will connect several thematical and aesthetical marks –specifically, from The seventh seal (Det sjunde inseglet, 1957)-, showing some clear evolutions on Bergman´s style.
