La eficacia transformadora de la Eucaristía. Eucaristía, Iglesia y existencia cristiana en la Exhortación postsinodal «Sacramentum caritatis»

Abstract

El Concilio Vaticano II y el Sínodo de 2005 consideraron la Eucaristía como fuente y culmen de la vida cristiana y de la misión de la Iglesia. Esta nota aborda la eficacia transformadora de la Eucaristía, según la exhortación postsinodal «Sacramentum caritatis» (22-II-2007). Los dos primeros apartados destacan la «novedad radical» del culto cristiano (que comienza transformando el corazón del cristiano y termina transformando el cosmos) y la Eucaristía como centro del «culto espiritual», que es la vida cristiana en Cristo y en la Iglesia. El tercer apartado se detiene en esa «forma eucaristica» de la vida cristiana, para subrayar sus dimensiones eclesial y antropológica, socio-cultural, moral y política, testimonial, liberadora y cósmica.

The second Vatican Council and the Synod of 2005 considered the Eucharist as source and apex of Christian life and of the mission of the Church. This note approaches the transforming efficiency of the Eucharist according to the post-synod exhortation Sacramentum Caritatis (February 22, 2007). The first two sections highlight the «radical novelty» of Christian worship (which begins transforming the heart of the Christian and ends up transforming the cosmos) and the Eucharist as the center of the «spiritual worship» which is Christian life in Christ and in the Church. The third section considers that «Eucharistic form» of Christian life in order to underline its ecclesiastical and anthropological, socio-cultural, moral and political, testimonial, liberating and cosmic.
