Cuerpo místico, pueblo de Dios y sacramento: tres paradigmas que iluminaron la reflexión sobre la santidad de la Iglesia (1920-1965)

Abstract

La santidad de la Iglesia es uno de los capítulos eclesiológicos que ha sufrido cambios importantes a lo largo del siglo XX. Este estudio trata de las aportaciones y cambios relacionados con las tres principales ideas de la Iglesia del periodo entre 1920 y 1965. La imagen del cuerpo de Cristo aportó importantes contenidos en el discurso, algunos de los cuales fueron asumidos por autores que han preferido ver la Iglesia bajo los otros paradigmas. Por eso hemos evitado señalar argumentaciones o temas «típicos» de un paradigma, y subrayamos los cambios de sentido cuando estábamos delante de la recepción de argumentos desarrollados bajo otro paradigma.

The holiness of the Church is one of the ecclesiological chapters that underwent great changes during the XXth century. This study deals with the contributions and changes on this theme related to the three major ideas of the Church in the period 1920-1965. The image of the mystical body of Christ provided important contents for the Holiness of the Church, some of which were assumed by authors who preferred to use other paradigms in ecclesiology. For this reason, we decided not to indicate the typical reasons and themes of a given paradigm, and have underlined changes of meaning when addressing the reception of arguments that were developed under another paradigm.
