Jaime Delclaux Ortíz de Bustamante was born in Bilbao in 1912. His early death, when he was twentyfive years oíd, in 1937, put the end to a promising career as apoet. It is beyon all doubt that ifhe had be en oble to develop his human sensitivity he would nave become one ofthe most expressive volees in the contemporaneous Basque poetry. His unique book, including almost a hundred poems, was posthomously published in 1943, thanks to the interest of some friends who decided to collect Jaime Delclaux's work in Poesías (Antología). This article tries topay a tribute as well as being and approach to his world view.es_ES
