«La fuerza de la sangre»: historia de una lectura

Abstract

Este estudio de La fuerza de la sangre propone simultáneamente: por un lado, la descripción de una experiencia progresiva de lectura, con intención de poner de relieve una letra viva, una significación contemporánea (determino rasgos impactantes, incluso los que explicarían una "fuerza" específica del texto); por otro lado, en una perspectiva crítica de enfoque múltiple, algunas reflexiones sobre el sentido (tanto la temática -especialmente los diversos sentidos de "la fuerza de la sangre"- y la "ejemplaridad", como el espíritu ambiguo de la novela, responsable de su relativa "apertura"), y, por fin, la valoración contrastante de dos críticas ajenas (A.K. Forcione y G. Hainsworth). This study of La fuerza de la sangre proposes simultaneously: on one side, the description of a progressive experience on the reading of the text, with the intention to present evidence of an alive text, a contemporary signification (I determine impressioningfeatures, especially these ones that would explain a specific strength of the text). On the other side, I also present, with a múltiple critical perspective, some reflexions about the sense of this short story: the thematics (especially the different significations of the title), the "ejemplaridad", but also the ambiguous mood of the "novela" (responsible for its "openness"), and, ultimately, the contrasting valutation of two other critics (A.K. Forcione and G. Hainsworth).
